Some updates to the Stories From Vegas page, including decriptions of the Sands by The Pit Boss (complete with diagrams) and a couple of new stories.

January 14, 2002:
A couple of additions to the Photos: Records page, including a promo copy of All The Way, as submitted to us by Warren Frederickson. If you'd like to submit something, send me a note about it, and I'll get back to you (i.e. please, no unsolicited items!)

It's Christmastime Again - and the return of 'Tis The Season, which contains information about Sinatra's holiday recordings and holiday radio & TV performances. Back this year are several seasonal audio files and the special mix of the 1945/91 recordings of "Silent Night." Enjoy and share the holiday spirit!

Finally, a chance to put up some "new" stuff!
The Radio Pages have been updated (although unless you read carefully, it might be apparent what's changed). More updates are in the works.
Some new articles have been converted. With the recent passing of Perry Como, it brings to mind the "feud" that the press tried to create. Read the low-down from those involed in All About The Big Feud!.
Also new to the reprints page are a series of columns that Sinatra wrote for Modern Picture in 1949 called Frankie Says.
That's it for now, but will try to have monthly updates from now on.

Not too much this time: Ad for “Sing And Dance” and two covers for song lyric magazines from the 40s. See them on the Ads Page and the Books Page.
Also added a new caricature. The cover for Columbia’s Get Happy was done by Norkin, not Sam Berman. See it here: Caricatures Page

Added a slew of streaming audio files. Check out Rare Audio Page, and in the Radio Section, added some duets (including Peggy Lee and Nat "King" Cole). There are some in the Songs By Sinatra (Old Gold) and one in the Military page. They are indicated by a marker () next to the song.
Added a great full page ad for The Sands on the Ads Page.
Moved the "old news" to a separate page: Old News just in case you need to refer to it.

January 31, 2001:
Four new additions to the Article Reprints page. First, it's a 2-part Hollywoodized version of Sinatra's life story. Only a press agent could dream up some of this stuff! (The cover of the magazine is in the Book Beat page). Then there's the piece on that great Hollywood threesome: Crosby, Hope & Sinatra! The other article is another report on Frank's USO tour of Italy.
Also corrected some typos here and there!

January 24, 2001:
A new addition to the Product Placement section of the photo page. It's a pamphlet given out at local record shops promoting their February, 1944 releases. Our boy is fetured on the second panel.
Also updated the Links page.

January 17, 2001:
My birthday present to you: Something new in the Photos section - the Caricatures page. To start this new page, there are three from the 40s, including and early Hirshfeld. I also added a half-dozen TV Guide covers to the Book Beat page. A couple of other new photos were added to the Product Placement and Ads pages.
In the works: A page on the Hollywood Bowl concert of 1943, more reprints in articles, and other stuff piled up high in the office.
Oh, yes, it was the big one (birthday, that is...)

January 14, 2001:
A major upgrade to the Sheet Music page. 15 from movies, and 5 each from the 40s and later career. I'd like to include more of the 50s and 60s, but most of them are really boring graphically!

January 6, 2001:
Some major updates for the new year:
Added a new page to the Audio section: Movie Page. There are several duets (from both released and unreleased projects) and a couple of title songs that were left on the cutting room floor. Also redid the Rare Page. More to be uploaded later!
With the generous help of Ric Ross, the Radio Shows page has had many theme songs added, including seldom heard openings and closings from The Frank Sinatra Show (Bobbi) and Frank Sinatra In Person (Vimms). Thanks so much, Ric!
Moving to change over all the audio files to the IBM HotMedia streaming format. While the quality isn't as great as MP3 (but still very good), they are smaller, load faster (especially for those of us still on 56K modems), don't require a plug-in, and they help cut down on other websites “borrowing” the files!
The Christmas presents have been put back into the attic until next year. I'm sure there'll be more goodies in 2001.
Thanks to all of you who take the time to stop by and visit!
